Folks, my 2004 JTD is due it's second cam belt change in about 5000 miles or so and had a new clutch and DMF a couple of months ago.

I'm thinking of getting my garage to put a new crankshaft pulley on while they're doing it as it's got to come off anyway apparently, as well as replacing the aux belt and tensioners as something in there is a bit rattly.

Is it necessary to replace the crank pulley sensor too, as I'm minded to leave it alone as it's behaving OK

Crank sensor is a 10 minute job and is done from underneath the car, cam sensor IS best done while the timing belt is being changed.
However, I've done 2 crank sensor changes, both around 70k and if yours is original I'd get it done as sods law means that it'll go 2 days after it leaves the garage.
