Correct.
The original fit system has four outputs to each of the four speakers, whether or not the Fiat radio splits the signals I do not know.
In my set-up I disconnected the fiat wiring and wired straight through to the amp then split the signals from there via the crossovers.
The subwoofer again, is wired straight from my head unit to the woofer with it's built in amp.

OK, I'm a bit thick with stereo stuff so I seem to be repeating Jiggy's question. If I buy some Infinity Reference 6010CS and just swap them for the old ones will I have wasted 50 quid? All this about crossover boxes is putting me off doing the swap. Can anyone give me a link to Superspotter's post on this, I've searched but cant find.
Cheers.

substitute for Infinity Reference 6010CS speakers...

I ordered some infinity reference speakers but they got 'lost' in the post and no more are in stock. The dealer has offered instead In Phase XT-6C or Juice JS6C, both of which seem slightly larger.
Does anyone have suggestions as to
a)whether they'll fit? Isn't there quite a shallow fitting space?
b) which ones are better?

Cheers

John

i cant find any info on dimensions.. but if they are deeper then the infinity's they you might run into problems (or need to use spacers)

i'ld consider asking money back and sourcing the infinity's somewhere else
i've got mine from thompson LTD on ebay :

Fitting space is VERY limited, when I fitted mine I had to make some adjustments to the mountings to get them to fit...........at some point I will get around to posting up a guide!

Its a bit of a sod of a job as you need to remove lots of trim and panels to run the speaker cables, I would also recommend a wedge of thick mastic to stick the crossovers to the bulkhead under the dash!
