I have checked the Eper page and I can't find a difference there related to the button itself
The switch panel itself has a standard fitting to the dashboard. My 1.4 lounge has sport, hazard and fogs (like the drawing). Some others may differ like the "city" which I understand to be economy from standard as against my "sport" from standard.
The part numbers differ between models. Try Google for the switch to fit your engine and year?
Just a thought.

That's whats leads me towards the impression that the button is just that, a button and the behavior depends on what's "programmed" in the Body control

The button is a simple momentary switch, the ECU once you have told it (via MES) you want front fog lights to work will accomodate a second push for the rear on. The only reason to change switches is if you want a dual symbol on the button. I did this upgrade on mine, and used the same button, as I don't feel the need to have a dual symbol on the button, especially at the price they want, and the faffing about to change it.
The ecu latches the first push, and turns on front only, if a second push is received at the ecu, it will turn on rear as well, a third push will extinguish both.

Lovely, thanks a million for the confirmation. I will try to retrofit it once I confirm I have the cables in the bumper (probably yes)

Retrofitting fog lights to a 500 has been discussed several times before on this forum. Here is one such thread. There may be others; consider using the search function.

The general consensus is that it's possible (although main dealers may tell you it isn't) but that the 500 front fogs are so useless that it's not really worth doing.

I was looking into this as well. I might try to retrofit the fog ligths, I need to check if the wiring is there in the front bumper (probably is) so I was under the impression that this is just plug and play. The part I am not clear enough is about changing the switch (I saw a few pics of models that have front fog lights and the only diff apparently is the "sticker" of the switch, I mean, there is no extra button). Might be the case that the original switch will light both at the same time if you don't change it? or maybe is something that can be "programmed" with MES?
Any light on this will be very appreciate.
See Panda 169 guides. Wiring was not there in the mylife model. Access to fit switch and wires was 100% impossible, but it worked as shown and was relatively easy. Im planning to of both our Panda Easys. Maybe wiring will be there but I think not. Small Fiats start out without fogs, so there are two wiring looms. Old type and revised with more wires to match equipment.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, yeah that, you can barely see them, especially if they get dirty. I did it for the look though, I quite like the 500 with fogs.
Mine's had 'em from new, even though fog's rare here, but I too just like the look. Actually one bulb has been blown for ages and I haven't bothered to fix it. Not even sure I know how to get at 'em to be honest.🙃
