There's plenty of subs that are available that could fit the bill and you'd need not spend £200 if you want decent SQ over being very loud (you won't get very loud off 220 WRMS anyway :))

Something like this would fit the bill - you would need to budget for building an enclosure for it though - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/dia...3.html?cadid=d8a72271ae2af5eca8fe544849226c45

As would this (but it might not be suitable depending on how much space you got as it seems as if they would work better in a ported enclosure) - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/dls-w710-p-5717.html?cadid=d8a72271ae2af5eca8fe544849226c45

Others that would fit the bill

I would be happy having any of those :) You could also look at 12" versions - there would be no difference in SQ and it might be a little louder but I'm not that sure it will be very noticeable.

if i remember correctly fli are just a sub company for vibe or mutant to sell off its less quality products for cheaper without downgrading their reputation. theyre cheap and cheerful, not many people would notice a diference wen it comes to amp and sub quality. fusion is near the same money but has better quality components and i noticed wen testing them that they seem a good bit louder than some of the competitors with the same outputs

they are made by vibe, and are a chunk above the current fusion range, sq wise, and how long they last..

fli are ****e (n) was actually in halfords earlier looking at speakers, fli ones really are pathetic.

get jbl :D

Totally agree for about £130 you can get JBL sub amp kit that only has 1 sub but even that will sound better than the 2 Fli's then you could amp up those components that you have. The only problem is that its not active but if you can fit components and an active sub then a sub and amp should be a piece of p**s.

Go to www.caraudiosecurity.com and see what packages they have youll be amazed at what you can get for your money.

On a more expensive tip i saw the rep from Fusion which i know halfords deal with and that fusion car sounds excellent. For £250 you get comps, sub, 6x9's and an amp that runs them all.

Both JBL and Fusion do loads of variations of extremely good value for money equiptment. Fly are severely lacking behind in the race for Entry Level Monopoly.

I just saw your post about a Hifonics amp and i would be very careful bridging the channels because even if it says its possible a lot of the time it just doesnt work.

Well, that's a new one on me unless you're showing the amp too low an impedance (most bridgeable amps are only 4ohm stable when bridged).
