Fli Sub/Amp Problem

I got a Fli Sub with built in amp... which is 12" 1000 Watts.

When I drive and listen to my music... sub just stops working and light on the back of it does not come on.... a few minutes later it comes back. I thought it was my battery.. but I changed it now (about time).

Can anyone help me please?

check the earth is ok on the amp some times you draw alot of power from bass and if the earth is not that good it will cut out. or the only other thing is the sub is to much power for the amp? and its heating it up quick which makes it cut off to cool its self down. i hope that helps ya

But it comes with a built in amp, so I wouldn't have thought that that would be a problem.

Sounds like it could be an amp remote problem, or a dodgy power/ground wire. Remote is a likely think i would have thought.

if theres paint on the body where you connetced the earththink about scratching it off a bit to get a better contact!

Try turning down the gain a bit... That worked for me.

The amp could be getting hot (the heatsink etc is inside the box with the speaker) due to excess gain. You need to bed in the speaker, after a while it will be able to cope with higher volumes, but maybe you're pushing it while it's still new.
