OK, this one has got me stumped.
I've got a 2013 Fiat 500L Trekking with an early UConnect head unit - with CD, USB and AUX IN, without DAB, without NAV.
It looks vey much like this one but I've not pulled it out of the dash to check part numbrs or software versons:
I've owned it since 2022, and the steering wheel ICE controls have never really worked properly. But that's not what's puzzling me, I'm just mentioning it in case its relevant.
Recently the "media" menu has stopped offering me AUX, USB or Bluetooth. The only option is CD. That's been annoying as I've had a DAB adapter plugged into the AUX port for a year or so. Curiously these functions would sometimes appear for 20 seconds or so immediately after starting the car, but would then disappear again.
Today I thought I'd see if disconnecting the battery negative terminal for half an hour would clear whatever fault was causing this behaviour. It didn't, and now I don't seem to get the DATE / TIME setting in the menu so I can't reset the clock either.
Has anyone seen this before? Is there a solution short of replacing the head unit? I dont really want to spend time and money on this if I don't have to ...
