Panda (Classic) Fizzle :)

I'm in half a mind to take Fizzle off daily driver duties whilst the roads are wet and salty.

Although I undersealed him I never had the cash when I had the time, now I have the cash I have no time to get all the nooks and crannies filled with some cavity rust proofing stuff.

If I can get some waxy goodness stuffed into his undercarriage (oooh matron!) I can drive him without fear of consequence ;)

At least Fizz isn't really low and you can actually get underneath and the arches jetwashed out without actually getting a jack out.. Quit moaning!

Although i can't see the harm in using the new car whilst all the salt is down other than if/when it snows Fizz will be much better at dealing with it I imagine.

Euro parts are doing very cheap head light bulbs at the moment, I was thinking of treating Fizzle to a new pair. Is it H4 that he needs?

In other news his wind deflectors arrived yesterday, put them on last night. They seem to have reduced wind noise and have stopped the window rattling too. (y)

I have an idea to stick a bit more sound proofing under the floor matting when the seats get changed - eventually - working lots of hours so is looking like it will be the new year before I can get on with that.

H4 p45t, IIRC. Get some 55/60w ones. Very nice... -- I have some Ring ones in Pippin; and will be installing another pair in Betty, tomorrow...! (y)

Good to hear: as Pippin and Hal will both have some fitted (eventually). They work well in the Punto; and should be especially useful in Pippin, with the non-opening rear windows...! :D

I keep thinking of ways to try and reduce wind noise. Any recommendations, at 80 with all the vents closed its still really quite drafty...

Don't have this problem in Pippin -- although I quite like fresh air on my face, when driving: so the driver's vent is always open. Have you tried driving a tad less speedily, perchance...?

I do a lot of motorway journey driving, even at 65/70 wind noise is evident, I know its normal I mean she is a Panda after all, I was just wondering if there are ways to improve deadening of wind and road noise.
I keep the vents closed in this weather, far too cold for that!

:yeahthat: H4 pins but P45T base! I'd be surprised if they've got them in a sale, never seem to find reduced Panda headlight bulbs, but can be pleasantly surprised :)

I've not bothered going any further with the headlight bulbs, if they're a non standard thing don't want to be faffing about, having zero free time, working 6 days at the mo.

Getting a bit cheesed off with not having any illumination on the heater controls and switches whilst driving about in the dark, even with the interior light on I can't make out what's what :cheesedoffsmiley:

I suppose an interior light upgrade is the easiest way to sort that

Must remember to put some air in the tyres tomorrow as they all tend to loose a bit of pressure over the week, got a bit slidey the other week cos I forgot

I have lights behind my fog light/rear wiper etc buttons but none behind heater controls, can you install a light behind them?

pretty sure there was never any provision for illumination,

not sure getting a bulb in there is really feasible,
how about one of the little LED "snakelights" that go in the ciggy socket..??,

I have a bunch of LED strip lights that are currently under my desk, they work on 240v main obviously at the moment but I'm wondering if I can wire them behind at 12v

how do you guys not just know where the controls are...? I got some lights out on my cinq dash but i can change the vents to the screen or my feet or change the temperature without looking at the dash, it doesn't even have an interior light atm...
Its not like a little fiat has loads of controls, they aren't fighter-jets (apart from in our minds of course lol).
