Hi,
the blower fan in my Jet Black 2 stopped working and I didn't find any threads here related to this problem. I'm hoping to diagnose further the problem and fix it with your help.
So far, I got access to the heating resistor which shows that the cabling has been damaged.
Question 1: So the first question is where can I get replacement connectors so that I can rewire them?
I presume that this was caused by the thermal resistor and so I removed it from the blower housing. The connectors are also charred so I figure it probably caused the fault. So I will look for a replacement. For those that want to see the part, it looks like this: Video of replacing the thermal resistor (French). It is in French but you can see all the steps to take it out.
What I would like to know is whether I should remove the blower motor for any reason? Why did this happen to the connectors? I would have thought that a fuse should have blown before this occurred.
Thanks for your help,
Conrad
Update - I was also able to find these helpful discussions and instructions on the site:
1. Something to try before removing everything: Heater blower stopped working.
2. If you also want to clean the blower motor while working: leaf and debris removal
