fitting genuine abarth front bumper to mk1 hg

right i've got a genuine abarth bravo bumper and i want to modify and fit it to my 98 hgt...

has anyone done this..? any pics available..? how much work is needed to make it fit..? what is the actual measurement differance between the models..?

i've read somewhere that someone's done it before with gaps..? not sure where.. /

i would've whipped mine off but its in the bodyshop at the mo having some work done on the rear bumper

Is it an HGT abarth front bumper?

If it isnt i think it wont fit as the car is wider at the front due to the larger engine / suspension?

you can get hgt abarth front bumper copies that fit straight on.Thatll be the best bet rather than cut a genuine abarth bumper.
Sell it and get a copy,no one will know only you

Here here will, I was after that bumper as I was gonna make it fit, but Simon, dude if that is the free one then that is so uncool, I would never do that and and I am pretty sure that no other member would do that. Or sell it and donate the money to BOO or give the cash back to cal.

I had a sports bumper that came off the forum owners HGT and i made it fit my HLX just needed pushing in at either side whist tightening up job done...

Weather you are a member or not offer it back to the club first, it no-one is interested then sell its called common decency

You might not have got the bumper to make a profit, buts that what you are doing.

Like someone said work out what it cost you to pick the bumper up i.e petrol and sell it for that price.

Pushing in and pulling out an bein short are 2 different things... I was told it would have to be cut and plastic welded to fit...!

I was then told to sell the bumper to buy 1 that does actually fit my car or give it back.

Now Ive put it on eBay at 99p start so it can go for whatever I'm not bothered, but for me taking my time out of my day to pick it up, sit there waiting for an hour for it then taking it home cleaning it down, removing my bumper and checking the fitment of this 1...

I think the £75 BIN is reasonable for everything I've done..!!

Like I said I'm sorry if you lot think I've done wrong but I've Put myself out for it so I'm not gona give it away...

To be honest Simon, i wasn't first one there your right, but if i had that bumper i would make it fit, if it didn't then i would give it to someone on the club or sell it and donate the money to boo or give it to Cal.

Ok so you rant on about petrol and storing what a load of bull! how much did it cost you to store it errrrm probably nothing. You have had the side skirts and the rear bumper so it wasn't a wasted journey, and to be honest if i had gone there to collect the bits i wouldn't of taken it if someone else said they wanted it first thats not how a club works buddy!

Plus at the end of the day like others have said Common decency, which is showing you dont really have much of it, why don't you give the bumper to Andy1.6HLX he is after it and he is a member afterall and it will be a straight fit.

You don't really understand how this club stuff works do you, we are here to help each other and keep the marque alive not take liberties like you have!!!
