Technical Fitting Aftermarket Remote Central Locking

Hi guys, I hope someone can help.
I'm trying to fit an aftermarket keyless entry system to a 2012 panda that has central locking operated by the key only.

I'm trying to find a step by step guide but only find vague and conflicting posts and I'm just struggling to get anywhere.

Even if someone could identity the harness to tap into and the colours of wires needed then that would be a start.

If it's a version without remote central locking, the first problem you'll have is that there is no solenoid or mechanism in the drivers door to lock/unlock it without the key, and there may not be any wiring for one, either.

This has been looked at several times in the past; the conclusion has always been that whilst it can probably be done, the cost and difficulty means the game isn't worth the candle. I don't recall anyone actually having done it successfully.

But if you do manage to implement this cheaply using aftermarket parts, then go for it and come back here and post what you have done.

Fortunately, that's an easy thing to check. Unlock car. Then lock it from passenger side and see if the drivers door is locked. I was quite concerned when I read this as I've been in the habit of locking the car from the passenger side so I was worried the drivers door would be unlocked. I went and checked and it does lock so there must be a mechanism there.

I'm planning to add remote locking myself and even do a guide for it but it won't be until next year. I have a lot on with other projects first.

I was thinking of using one of the Hawk systems:

They do an alarm system (HA-240) for £39.99 but I don't think my 1.2 base spec Panda will be that desireable to thieves. More interesting is the HA-09 passive keyless which automatically unlocks when you get near the car!
