the best theme.. for me its the wild/natural theme. i let my plants over grow... just a little bit.
bigger plants to the back in the midrange i get a few lumps of bogwood.. cover them in java moss then some small plants in the foreground..
would look mint.
check out the carpet grass too.. in sand it grows well and the catfish love it!
oh and to keep sand clean.. easiest thing in the world to keep clean. make sure you dont over feed and get a few >corydoras catfish< they will keep it nice and clean. they stay small and are the most peaceful fish in the world.
heres a video of my other tank... yes i know i have goldfish in with tropicals and a heated tank.. its easy to do, but not good with guppies as they are buggers for nipping fins.
Edit: the vibration is caused by the filter, they are buggers for it. make sure the pipes/wires are not trapped when you close the lid.. failing that make sure the bulbs are screwed in tight. and the light reflector is also screwed in tight. the top cover prys off easy to get in it.
