Tuning Fire 1.2 to 1.4

What is the difference between the 1.2 8v and 1.4 8v block and head?
Any possible to use a bored 1.2 block with 1.4 pistons? Anyone did that already? What happens with the cr?
I'm not looking for a 16v head.

i think its the height of the block and the throw of the crank thats different. But i am not sure at all.. I shall move this from the mk1 section as we don't even have 1.4 8v engines in Mk1's so little chance anyone in here will know.

Can't see the point. The stroke on the 1.4 accounts for most of the difference in capacity.

Would be much easier to fit a complete engine.
