Tuning 1.2 16v swap

Hello

I have a a112 i wanna swap a 1.2 16v Punto engine into with carbs..

Its close to a straight swap, but i my question is about ignition. I talked to a guy from italy who said i could use the distributor from a Uno (OE 7763385). Does anyone know if this is true, or have done similar swap?

yep, early fire engines had dizzy run off the cam at the end of the engine where a more modern one has the coil-pack holder. Uno, Pandas etc

So have your classic points and later ones had a little electronic box on side so you never had to do the points.

Like this one
