Good morning to the team.
I have a punto 1.2 16v with engine number 176b9000.
For 6 months it has been having the following problem. When it was hot it wouldn't start then you had to wait 20 minutes for it to start. What it was having was when you turn the ignition the fuel injection light on the PANEL would come on and it wouldn't start. 5 days ago while it was in motion the car turned off and wouldn't start again. I measured the crank sensor and it was dead. I changed it again and the same thing happened. Before changing the crank sensor when you turned the ignition it cut off the fuel. Now it does. What I noticed now is a mix-up with the lights on the panel. The order when you turn the key is battery - fuel injection, the injection goes off, you turn the ignition and it starts. Now other times the injection doesn't turn on, the battery does it in reverse order.

Anyone who has an idea or is passionately welcome.

Thank you very much

Obvious idea: it's electrical (99% sure). Use diagrams and find out the problem, starting with battery, alternator and main ground/earth.
Then fuse/relay box (corrosion) and ignition switch of course, then (maybe) a fuel pump(?): https://staff.planet.ee/punto/El_skeem.pdf

Check the crankshaft sensor wiring and check voltages (how much bias is there when sensor disconnected) in reference to "ground".
Example from Grande Punto 1,4 8V, same FIRE family, everything should be similar (parameters, sensor readings). Small numbers (good).

PS
Title of the thread. Just to be clear (be "on the same page"). Is it "crank, no start" situation or "no crank (and no start)"? Different things.
Check YouTube, how much content there is if you look for "crank, no start": https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=crank,+no+start
It's enough to fix any car on the planet...
