Just out of interest, how many of you: -

1 - Always fill the tank whatever it costs?
2 - Put in a set amount each time and how much (e.g. a tenner)?;
3 - Pay at the pump with a card?
4 - Pay in the kiosk with a card?
5 - Pay in the kiosk with cash but would pay at the pump if it took cash?

Would appreciate as many answers as possible for a project I may be working on.

I used to always fill the Stilo up with a set amount - say £30 or so BUT the Ulysse was always brimmed - £90+ or so :chin: - always paid in kiosk with my card.

Now I have the Panda, I always fill it up to the top, but still pay in the kiosk with my card.

depends which side of payday. or where im going, if Im going away for the weekend, or a good run out (stoke to devon and back in a day isnt uncommon for me), i will fill my car up, but usually it's £20 or£30 i put in. Prefer to pay at pump with card, but if not I pay with cash inside, or card inside depending on the station (more likely to use card at a supermarket station than a late night garage)

I always fill mine up it's the best way for me. I find a full tank always lasts about 8/9 days.

Now its costing me about £50 to fill up

Pay with card

Pay at the kiosk so i can claim my shell reward points

What's the project you may be working on?

i never fill to the top, only half way (20ltrs) cos think about it 40ltrs of juice is heavy! not as good mpg

I fill up to the brim, otherwise my MPG chart on the PC dosen't work properly.

Pay inside with card, unless I have cash but don't as I usually always use card's. I never pay at pump because they give stupid little recepts. Prefer the ones from the tills, as it give all the information needed for my MPG chart again.

Jon.

Oh, I would also like to point out that I can't pay at the pump - the service is there, but seems to have been shut for the past year at least, and always says 'pay in kiosk'.

In addition, I don't carry my Tesco Clubcard with me - only the keyfob - so how would this work at the pump? Just find it easier to go in, plus I need a valid VAT receipt, guaranteed to be gotten when inside and not have 'paper out issues'.

I always used to fill up in units of £5 with my Uno 45S, but since the prices started to rise that got upped to £10. Now with the prices going up every week I fill up to the brim when the tank goes down to 3/4 or 1/2. My reasoning is that it's better to fill up now before the next price increase...

Oh, I always use a debit card and use 'Pay at Pump' if it is available. I don't need a receipt so just want to get it over and done with as quickly as possible rather than queuing up with the great unwashed ;)

I use the 'ignorence is bliss' approach as I daren't fill it up I just stop when i get bored or pissed off whatever comes first .

£50 to fill a goddamn petrol punto what is the world comming too :bang::bang: .

I know, £37 in the Panda last night, and £39 the week before with £15 inbetween:mad:. Who said being a student was cheap, although I was paid to drive someone to Gatwick(y)

depends on the circumstance sometimes

if im with my mum or my gran taking them places they sometimes give me £10/£20 so i will usually put that amount in the car (y)

if im feeling quite poor towards the end of the month, i will put in whatever i can afford (sometimes as little as £5 )

usually though i just brim the tank to the max, and then let it run t just before red, which is about £55 to fill up (y)

and as long as that lasts me a good 500 miles, i go through about 2 and a half tanks a month or so :D

although driving to these events is making it more like 3 or 4

Im only using half a tank per week so filling to top but it used to be a set amount
