Buying a 500l on Tuesday. It is an October 2014 car - with 3700 on clock. Does anyone foresee a warranty problem with Fiat - as I will get the car serviced asap after buying. ( not been serviced as sat on private dealer forecourt ). Thoughts?
I was assured by my dealer that the warranty was three years through Fiat. ie 3rd year not dealership anymore! Can anyone enlighten me on this. Cheers Davie
In the back of your owners manual should be a page to fill in and send to a Bradford address to register the 3rd year warranty. There is a charge to pay of just under £30 including VAT to register, the 3rd year apparently being with a Fiat dealership. My car was also a 2014 '64' plate, 1.3 diesel, registered October 2014, ex-motability with 3300 miles on the clock at 13 months old, so I've just done this registration process, also registering change of ownership with Fiat UK for continuation of the remainder of the 2nd year warranty. The first service (if it's a diesel) is not due until 2 years or 21000 miles.

Thanks for that Keith, mine is a 14 plate deisel just bought three months ago so will check out the service book.
Don't know in this day and age with some manufacturers giving up to 7 years warranty why fiat just don't give the 3 as standard! Cheers Davie

Citroen warranty is also 2 years + 1 years dealer warranty. We've had 2 Hyundai's (same company as Kia) with no problems in 6 years with the first and no probs so far in over 7 years with the second. I honestly think it's just a matter of luck and finding a GOOD dealer who you can trust, same with any make really!
