The glow plug warning light keeps coming on, does this mean there is a faulty glow plug? Can you test them?

Usually the light flashes if there is a fault.

You can test them but if it’s the 1.3 your taking serious risks just looking at the glow plugs as they like to snap at the mere suggestion of being removed and getting stuck in the head.

If you are going to remove them, then just replace them, they are probably due a renewal and they are fairly cheap now, not much more than a box of fancy spark plugs.

Hi. :)

Look in Grande Punto section for several informative threads

It flashes for a FAULT in the SYSTEM.

If you get SOME heat for starting..then it is probably just heating 2..or 3 cylinders.

I found getting the cap off the plug to be the biggest issue.. but HEAT and patience got all 4 out.

Pics on GP thread :)

Avoiding down the job is just stacking up problems for when you eventually have no choice. The engine is hinting so swap the lot as soon as you can. If you are not sure on mechanical skills, get it done professionally.
