Technical Fiat palio 1.2 MPI compression issue

Hi guys please I need urgently advice, yesterday my palio 1.2 mpi 8 valve stalled upon checking I saw that the crank only was turning found that timing gear was worn down,today I put new timing gear car started hundreds drove it around the block it drove perfect,just tried to take it out the yard and it switched off engine has fast swing like there's no compression but the crank and cam are turning,what can be the issue near in mind it didn't heat up n it isn't backfiring n popping,pls help I'm so tired of this car now

What do you mean when you say “timing gear was worn down”? Had the timing belt snapped?

No sir the keyway on the timing gear was worn down,but I found out that after I replaced the gear the same day the same thing happened

What HP is your engine, do you know if it has VVT?
