This is getting ridiculous! I suggest that Sammi & Dave get their heads together and decide where the Xmas doo is gonna be and when, otherwise this will still be being discussed in October. Unfortunately some people wont like the arrangements but im afraid that you cant please everyone.As Gaz and Steve posted earlier, they need to know the date at least, to make arrangements.
In my short time on the Forum, i have found it to be a rather friendly place and people to be easily approachable so surely people can pm each other to see if they want to share a lift and half the fuel bill?
It aint easy trying to organise something like this, regardless of how many times youve done it before and the thanks you get is very scarce usually to say the least. I think people should be gratefull to the organisers for asking their opinions on the subject and trying to get it all sorted( How many workplaces ask you the same?). So come on people, lets help out here and do our best to attend regardless of the date or venue. We all offer advice and help to others who enter the forum once in a blue moon, ask a question then never appear again, so lets help each other out on this subject. E.G. people who live in the mids can find out hotel/motel numbers usefull to far away mmbrs and distant mmbrs should be pm,ing each other to see if its possible to car pool together.
Finally, may i just be the first mmbr to say thanks to everybody whos involved in organising the event, i dont envy you at all!:slayer:

if i can il try to make it however just a thought here but you could alternate things like the xmas bash so one year it down south one year it up north, one year it south east one year north west or just keep it where it is could be easier

thats not how it works, we didnt start the xmas meet thread untill late in september last year, and dates and where were decided by members not mods, thread is posted early this year so all members can have time to have a think about dates and placesMATT 68 said:

Well i think the main thing is that we all meet up to be honest, i know that probably doesnt help much. Personally im happy to go with whatever is decided. I like to drive new places any how and meeting u guys will be worth it too!
