Hi to all,
I was thinking of buying a 1.9 105hp 5 seater Doblo. 160,000 miles.
Its a 2008 in nice condition and now that the motor tax is rated by co2 emissions
its only 390 euros.
My queries are as follows.
1. Is the 1.9 engine bulletproof as like the older 1.9 tempera engines.
2 Has it timing chain or belt.
3 If it is a chain should it be changed like the belt version, although they say it
doesn't need changing.
4 The DPF. It was said by they salesman that the DPF cleans itself at 60 klms per
hour, unlike its smaller 1.3 multijet which requires higher speed of 80 klms (50 miles)
The reasoning behind the statement was that the larger engine has a higher torque,
so therefore requires a slower speed to operate the DPF. I do not know if this is
true or just a sales gimmick.
5 Are there any areas of concern which need to be looked at before considering a
decision one way or an another. And are there any weaknesses to consider.
Thanks for looking and any help and advice would be most appreciated.
