Technical Fiat 500, 100hp, 1.4, squeaking noise from bell housing

I have a squeal or squeak coming from within the bell housing of my 500. It doesn't dissappear when you push your foot on the clutch either, the squeak is like what you would get on a bike wheel and the noise is constant and goes up as you rev to 2k. The car is 6 speed manual and has done 66k miles.
Any ideas ?

Does the vehicle have a pilot bearing or spigot bearing in the centre of the flywheel

Gearbox is going to have to come off to investigate further if knowbody knows

So you havent looked at the parts fische ?


Gearbox off anyway IF you have ruled out other sources of noise

It was the thrust bearing and it had worn the fingers on the pressure plate.
