Most of the images aren't loading properly so can't see or do anything on my laptop, iPhones fine though.

We are currently experiencing issues with our Edge01 cluster in Amsterdam. It appears to be a DoS attack. Traffic has been routed to the nearest PoP.
Updates will be provided as they become available.

Yeah, but all the images are served from there - along with the javascript and css.

Only the HTML comes from the server in New York - everything else is farmed out over CDNs.

so if it happens again we should all change our settings to use cached images, then will will be fine?

Found a task which runs every hour ... oh oh oh... disabled it, let's see if that helps

No reports since then (by the monitoring system).

It's the ePER database - every hour there is a task which clears the old cache and optimises the table.

Assuming no more errors throughout the day, I'll change it so that task runs once a day instead, at silly AM

If by Monday it's still running well, I'll re-enable the Garage - see if it can handle that at the same time

Ok, that script now runs at 4am (ish) - doing it via the command line now, rather than through a PHP script (which I suspect was timing out anyway).

So yes - as blu says - fingers crossed! (database size reduced from 10Gb to 4Gb!)
