FF playing up?

It just hanged for about 10 minutes
But the like buttons are working for me now.

Hanging quite bad this morning again.

This is weird, if its a Microsoft problem why does it only effect FF and not other sites/forums I use?

Serios hang running the site on my Sony Arc.. and decided to stick up a 500 error for about 20mins

Well its taken me from 9:15am this morning to post this, its now 10:32am.

Today's problems have been the worst I've ever had.

Tried different browsers made no difference.

But no problems connecting to other sites/forums, only FF.

I first logged in about 6am this morning and it was really bad then, been like it all morning for me, the worst I've ever had.

Ideally I'd like to keep it all windows based (especially as the backup system licenses are all for windows, so it will cost quite a bit to switch) - however if this situation doesn't get better soon, it's something we can certainly look into.

Out of curiosity how much would it cost to switch, if you were to decide on that because im sure myself and other members would donate towards the switch over if it means keeping the forum up and running

I haven't had the best of experiences here recently but the forum is a valuable resource for lots of people, members and non-members, so I'd be more than willing to donate to help with the switch over if that's what needs to be done.

Ok guys - I've removed Wincache completely for now. We lose a lot of caching capabilities (obviously) but it should hopefully stop the hanging.

Saying that, there are still a ton of processes opening up for me - which means it might actually be a FastCGI issue ... but ... early days.

Please report back if it hangs again

Sorry I forgot to add, I've switched to Membase instead, which while doesn't support file and opcode caching, does support usercaching and session caching, so there are still benefits
