Does this sound like a problem with my Fiat Bravo ECU?

When accelerating I get white smoke out the exhaust and seem to have a slight loss of power.

Thought it had been fixed as a 'sticking valve', but the problem reappeared this weekend. Car stinks heavily of fumes and white smoke billowing out of exhaust slightly worrying. No visible warning lights come up on the display.

Anyone else had same problem? I think it's the ECU, but (non-fiat) garage don't think it is.

Advice on similar problems would be welcomed.!

White smoke? Sounds like water is getting into the engine, your headgasket hasn't gone has it.

P.s its not a 1.4 is it?

Smoke usually means something is badly ****ed.

Age, milage and model?

Yep, it's a 1.4. Why does that question make me slightly nervous??!

Low milage 1.4, probably blocked oil pipe that feeds the rocker? Tom will probably know.
