Outsourcing - that well known cost saver.

I'm being outsourced :( Going from a team of 7 people (5 on shifts and 2 on 9-5) to a company thats going to cost them potentially millions... What a cost saving :rolleyes:

aruns making his announcement on tuesday, we're still in the profit (as opposed to T-mobile who announced profits down 35% to last year!) but no scope for growth as the "boom" we were having has now pretty much gone, and nothing replacing it just yet

Outsourcing will affect me last pretty much as they pride themselves on their business world class cust services and thus wont move the business related stuff away from uk :)
 
And thank god for that, I'm not going to get paid any less, they're going to pay me more, pay more into my pension, take more off me towards said pension and pay me lots of bonuses, so all in all I get about the same, phew!

yes i was but,
I'd be very, very careful who you talk to about that, because the person who wrote that... is dangerous. And this button-down, Oxford-cloth psycho might just snap, and then stalk from office to office with an Armalite AR-10 carbine gas-powered semi-automatic weapon, pumping round after round into colleagues and co-workers. This might be someone you've known for years. Someone very, very close to you.

but i'm still not bitter and twisted, actually i was at the vodafone ball (they still have that at earls court?) and we distinctly hearld the then boss chris gent saying "no jobs to go", 3 days later......ah jai, and all the rest of you...heres a bullet....later.

£15 billion, not loss, but written off when they bought another company out at the peak of the 3g race (n) lots of emails flying around vf today, job losses are in the berkshire dept, i did find out which sector but its a small internal IT dept thats being outsourced

mines safe for the time being, end of the day companies (and people ofc) will always owe money, and for some on my ledger i swear will owe money until the day they leave vodafone :p

chris gent, the head cheese of all head cheeses at voda till sarin took over, built the business from scratch near enough, as for redunancy, well, actually the pain of going was eased by a very very very very good package, so maybe i'll be just twisted....but be aware they will be a bunch of cocks if you have less than 2 years service

btw the banbury voda girls were HOT!

I'm aware of that but doubt i'll be there 2 years unless i get moved up to coach soon :rolleyes: :p

couple of the tams are alright ;) and yeah cust services as a whole not bad not bad ;) :D, majorly messed about by one of them i liked tho :( (the one i brought to ace 1 time if u were there? :confused: )
