Hi All
Have got me a Ducato "Box" 244 2006 model 2.0 JTD. No AC. LH drive
VIN #ZFA24400007783371

I have the common problem that the fan is only working on full speed, and by studying the forum I've found that it's probably the fan resistor.
So my question is: Is the resistor a part of the switch or a separate part?
Anyone have the part # for the stuff I need.
Also, where are the resistor placed, if it's not a part of the switch?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards
Per, Norway

Vin isn't complete. Blower resistor in all vehicles is always near the blower motor in the blower housing as its cooled by the airflow.

Thanks.
So it's not integrated in the switch.
Anyone that can supply me with the correct partnumber for the resistor pack

VIN from registration says ZFA24400007783371, so it should be correct

Thanks in advance
Per:)

Thanks. Anyone that can supply a detailed explanation where this is placed. Maybe with a drawing/photo.

Thank you in advance?.

Per?

that's the number on your win-number 46723713

Thanks everyone.
Found the latest number to be the correct one. The first one would not fit.
Is now on order.

Kind regards

I have found this info useful thank you. I had a problem with the resistor on a Sevel 2010 motorhome. Now Ive replaced it but heater is still failing intermittently although running on all 4 speeds. I have managed to remove the heater fan and I think there is a problem with the motor. Can anyone tell me - does it have brushes? How to take it apart? Thanks a lot

When it fails have you checked the voltage at the motor? On position 4 it should be 12v across it. The positive goes to the motor via a fuse and relay in the engine fuse box and it is not unknown for the relay contacts to burn out with intermittent operation.

Thanks rayc and Techno 100. I was getting 12 v across the heater supply when it was set on 4. Mine is actually a boxer but the fuse and relay layout looks like the pic. Being a 2.2 engine some of the fuse ratings vary from the pic. I'll have a look at the relay for any signs of overheating. And I'll probably order a new one as they are so cheap.
Now I have the heater motor and fan out I suspect that the fan may have been fouling on the housing at the top as the fan is marked. There seems to be about 1mm lateral 'play' on the fan shaft. Im not sure if there is a thrust washer involved. I'm currently trying to work out how to get the plastic fan off the motor shaft and also get the brushes out to check them. The motor is made by Denso so I'll see If there is a website that may help.Good thing is I'm making progress - thanks.

They're not cheap but that seller is very (y) it's called a heads up :D
Well worth having as a spare even if that is not the problem. As Ray said they are a common failure.

I had this problem and it was a simple contact problem. Check under dash passenger side floor, pull of terminal connector and clean.
