I have a 2010 Panda with 16000 miles on the clock. It was owned by an old lady who used it on e a week to go shopping. The car runs well. The problemis that with the aircon on its lowest setting the car cuts out. The aircon works as it should with no other problems. Its just when its on the LO setting. Do you think it could be the ICV that needs cleaning/ replacing? Thank you and sorry for the long post!

But the blowers on full. Rear heated window. And main beam on

Does the car stall

Does it make any difference if the engine is hot or cold


Cable throttle body or flyby wire

Thanks for your help. Blowers, main beam, heated rear window on the car dosent stall. No difference hot or cold. Its cable throttle. It only happens when the ac is set to lo.

ICV would appear to working properly

If you have a scan tool

You can look at expected Vs actual rpm

You can look at the amount of steps on the ICV

You can look at the A/C Pressure Switch data

I suspect the ECU is missing the 200 rpm bump up under heavy AC loads, to stop it bogging down or stalling, which was a software glitch fixed with an update on some pandas, unfortunately I have no way of checking service bulletins on older fiats

Thank you. I will get the codes read by a garage this week and will update. The EML does not come on when the stall occurs.

You can get to read the live data yourself for a few quid if you have a smart phone


It not that difficult, and the OBD2 reader can be used for other vehicles
