I had all sorts of starting problems and no tools to get the detail data on pressure graphs. Multi ECU Scan (MES) gave some but not enough and led me to suspect the fuel pump. Starting got ever more difficult until the engine would go into limp mode when I tried to accelerate. I replaced the fuel pump which exposed the real cause. A leaking injector was dropping fuel rail pressure it also caused a nasty knock on overrun. The injectors had previously been working fine so I had not suspected them. When pulled them all out, the injection tip of #1 was wet with fuel. As I had already replaced the injection pump I bit the bullet and fitted a set of remanufactured injectors. I have not looked back.
With hindsight I should have gone there first. Easy to say now.
It's a 2009 70bhp. There is no DPF and the turbo is mounted lower down than 75bhp models.
