Technical Engine undertray

Technical Engine undertray

The crank end can take a pounding from the elements as can the steel coolant pipe that runs across the front of the block.

I've seen the difference between fitted and not and needless to say I have made sure mine has one fitted because I think they are worth every penny to preserve the serviceability of the car longer term.

The facebook pages are quite regularly visited by people looking for new sumps especially for the 100. Whilst an undertray will only offer limited protection from impact, I would think it's still more than none.

none have had an engine under tray

I would have to look as I can not visualise the wheels, overhang and down pipe.
I can hit the down pipe on rough roads so thats the absolute limit.

on the eco even with its stiffer suspension its possible to rub the bottom of the bumper if the road has a sharp dip in it

My 100HP has an under tray and a dent in the front of the catalyst downpipe. I have never hit anything under the car but it is a 2007. If yours regularly grounding out, you will soon be looking for a new exhaust manifold. A 3mm aluminium sheet bash plate under tray would make sense with some addition strengthening so it wont simply get rammed into the exhaust pipe.

Hi all,

Just serviced my Panda 100HP and found a few of the under tray fasteners missing, one sheared whilst removing and the others were in questionable condition. I wouldn’t want to take measurements from the surviving fasteners so what’s the right size fasteners to replace them?

Thanks,
Chris
