Reading back through all this,
We've gone from:
It's a New Battery
To
I Jump Start it with a Van
Yes, there may be a Battery problem NOW
But when the KA initially "just stopped" back in March, it was "Brand New"
Something obviously failed back in March.. And apart from a rotten earth cable
Nothing has been discovered
To get to the BCM the dash dont have to come out but you do have to remove the facia panel and front oddments box/glove box look on you tube for details!Ok i've bought full key kit of used ka, ecu bcm lock display etc, easiest way take out ECU? does dash have to come off?
Worth noting it's NOT a 500..To get to the BCM the dash dont have to come out but you do have to remove the facia panel and front oddments box/glove box look on you tube for details!
The bcm is hidden behind a metal cover with security bolts might be able to turn em with mole grips etc or if unlucky drill em out and repalce with standard m10 bolts/nuts
Be VERY careful when unclipping the wiring connectors to the bcm 3 on the front two on the back- as the hinged clips are VERY brittle and snap if you look at them to hard other than that other fiddles with door locks and rods/clips are to be expected.
good luck with the job!. let us know how it goes! heres to success.
good point well made blinking threads gone on for so long i lost track apologies!Worth noting it's NOT a 500..![]()
Meaning what pls?Worth noting it's NOT a 500..![]()
I understand this is a Ford KA?Meaning what pls?
And as this is the 500 forum I missed the point it was a FORD KA from right at the start of the thread!- so supplied information for a 500 not a KA.I understand this is a Ford KA?
No the errors dont go, they clear then come back, car just stopped, this last move was to replace all electrical components i mean what is left, it was 2nd hand so i will resell it, i have put the old back on.For me - because I like things to be simple
I think you need to review in a timeline what exactly issues you had to start with and what you have done and what issues you’ve had after youvi tried things
I also don’t mean to be rude but it seemed very much like the bcm was a guess - hope you don’t take offence? Why did you change it?what reasoning led you to that?
Regarding the snap on errors can you clear any of them? You also have a low voltage error on there? Have you checked the voltage. At various points through the system?
