Hello everybody,
I have a 1.6 Stilo for almost 2 years by now.
First it ran ok, but after it started the dreadful engine cutting at random while driving with all the errors: ASR, ESP, Loose Connection, and the temperature gauge was going nuts showing the error "High Coolant temp".
The first few times this happened, after 20,30 mins I could start the car and drive.
Until one day it didn't want to start at all. So I changed the ECU. This happened last year in november.
Sadly, not even this cured the car. After a while it started again.
In february I drove like 150 km with no problem. On my way back I stopped for like 10 mins and when I wanted to start again the same problems as above. After 30 mins of waiting still nothing. I remembered something that I read on this forum about the T9 relay and that most of the errors could come from it. I pulled it out, cleaned the pins and it started immediately, and I was able to drive safely home.
Soon after I arrived I took out the fusebox above the battery, stripped it apart, cleaned every fuse and relay and their pins, the D4 connector underneath it and for 2 months I had no problems.
2 weeks ago in started again, the same errors. The last time was a few days ago, and I let it to cool down like a day. When I tried to start it again the battery was gone, nada, no even the clock was showing
I tested the crankshaft sensor like this guy : and the resistance kept rising up, so I think there is no problem here.
Also, is it normal that when you hit the bottom of the crankshaft sensor the car stops?
I am hoping that one day, I can rely on my car, I hope...
I attached here the errors that appeared after the last unpredicted stops.
