Technical Engine cuts out

Technical Engine cuts out

Several people have said do not go down injector problem route yet-I wholeheartedly agree with them.

Your first post states code for fuel pump primary circuit - focus on this problem.

Provide power to the in tank pump so it stays running , check it doesn't cut out (indicating pump issue)
With in tank pump running from jump wire start engine and see if runs longer than 40 seconds

Thanks for reply .
Injector will be my last item
The pump circuit fault has disappeared, one can also hear the pump running prior and to and after the engine cuts out so I know the fault is not in that ,also one can feel the relay cutting in and dropping out ,
This does not mean fuel pump is putting out enough fuel nor that the filter has been changed (it was serviced before we bought it November last year 🤔) which will be next job
There also may be other sensors to check as well
If no joy then a garage may be the answer

Rats and other rodents appear to enjoying nesting in air intake systems.

I mentioned at some point about engine ECU stopping engine if detecting a low oil pressure or level sensor warning issue, also I once had something similar after changing a clutch on a customers car and dislodging the oil sensor pressure switch, it would start, move a couple of yards then die each time you restarted it.
So it could be a faulty sensor talking to the ECU.
I see this on Forum from the past re a Fiat 500 2013 plate, it mentioned Fiat Dealer changed a wire but no further detail???https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/oil-light-suddenly-comes-on-and-engine-switches-off.447829/page-2
I see @varesecrazy was replying to the post but OP didn't reply around 8 years ago.:)
