General EML/limp mode- poss oil presure sensor??? Help!

Hi All looking for some advice.
Brought a 2015 fiat 500x 1.6 desel from a private seller last week, got 5 miles down the road and EML came on (amber) and car went into limp mode. Had it diagnosed 3 times (1st being my own OBD) then with 2 separate garages. First garage told me they couldn't see any faults and was referd to the main dealer (not the news I wanted to hear) however my own reading and the second garage reading both came up with a P0520 code (oil presure sensor) I have the car booked in Wednesday with the main dealer but of course want to avoid the price tag that comes with it however need my car back on the road ASAP. The second garage turned the light of however it came back on the same day. Has anyone had a similar situation or can offer any advice please

It is doubtful you can resolve this before your dealer appointment.

There are fairly simple procedural checks / tests a good mechanic can do which is what the dealer *should do*. The dealer may just order a replacement sensor and replace and see if the problem is resolved.
