Hello! My Fiat emblems are faded. I’d love to get new ones to freshen up the look of the car. Might even invest ridiculously into some bodywork instead of trying to trade in for another one with features I like.

The quote on body work is about 2k. Whole car probably not worth more than about 8k tops.

I originally thought the monetary investment is ridiculous, for such an affordable, uncomplicated, cute, reliable car. Getting another one with a sunroof will be a huge miracle, so I’m revisiting this luxury repair on the section behind the passenger door (see photo). I’m interested in your thoughts about correcting cosmetic stuff to make it close to perfect since I’m not likely going to find another perfect Fiat only with leather interior and perfect body (mine was fine until I got it home, some chick “didn’t see me” almost as soon as I got it. Then it was vandalized by scam ding repair guys…

Would you repair it to perfection? Eventually I want to grow up, adult a bit more and get this one sold to a beach person who will dig it like I have…

Otherwise it’s practically perfect (for me).

Unless someone is selling a burnt orange 500 with ivory leather interior and automatic transmission with SPORT. And sliding glass roof (way worth the trouble to service every 6 months).

That was the car I originally intended to get but the seller refused to get out of the car and sell it to me, and swiftly drove off, deciding to keep it!
Could not blame him! It was amazing!
So I found a green one. No leather. But great

I'd get a 2nd and 3rd quote for the bodywork dent, sounds steep to me , but that's $ isn't it.

Maybe get a s.m.a.r.t. repair guy to see if it's doable.

I guess if you have the funds get it done , you could reduce the price by stripping out all the internal trims (to access the area) which adds hours labour to the job)

Thank you, checking that website and do you know if they are difficult to remove or replace?
I’m wondering if others have done this without regretting messing with it. Thanks

What website ?

Badges are usually stuck on with 3M VHB tape, so it'll require gentle heat and patience.

To avoid paint damage it would be worth paying a bodyshop to debadge for you (wouldn't cost much), then you can apply the new ones yourself.

I've just looked , genuine fiat ones can be £60-£70 or more , cheap copy (from aliexpress etc) can be a 1/10 of that
