General Electronic toll tag with 500?

Anybody use an Electronic toll tag with 500? The reason i ask this is i use one for the Tamar Bridge on the commute to work and i have had lots of problems with the positioning of it on the windscreen so the system on the payment booths could read it. My previous car a Renault Laguna had some special windscreen glass which prevented the bridge toll system seeing the tag unless it was in a special position on the screen.

Renno's have a specific coating on their windscreens which you'll see if you wear polarised sunglasses (as I do) and the 500 doesn't. But it does have heat reflecting windows so you might be out of luck

Does it? They don't work very well!

Cars with heat reflective windscreens usually have a point where there's no coating for this reason. I have a Citroen, the point is directly behind the rear view mirror, if that helps.

Believe me they do work well The wifes Subaru doesn't have heat reflecting anything and compared to the 500 it's an oven on a sunny summers day but the 500 is very very cool in comparison.

I can see the coating without sunglasses. Maybe I've got polarised corneas?

I think polarised glasses just make it a lot easier to see.

The coating on the Renault cars is very noticeable from outside the car but almost invisible when looking out from inside. Maybe this is where the polarised glasses will come into effect.
