Eibach have released details on their suspension kits for the 500 including Pro-Kit & Sportline springs, coilovers and wheel spacers.

I'm really chuffed about these as I'll be wanting some springs and Eibach are my prefered brand. Hopefully Nuova 500 Shop will be testing them and having them up for sale soon! (y)

Done already. Apart from the Spacers, they are not actually in the UK yet but we hope for delivery later next week. We are doing the full line of Pro Kit, Sportline, Pro-Spacers and Pro-Street.

We have KW in the workshop ready to go on on Monday, I hope to have Eibach on a 1.4 the following week. Prices for fitting will be released once we know how long its going to take, although I shouldnt think its that horrendous, especially on a new car

Pics of our 500 with the KW springs on and 17's

Ride comfort is surprisingly good still.

We will have Eibach on within a week or two to compare them

IMHO one of the best features of the 500 is its ride, why would you want to mess with it ?

Offset is 35, same as the Panda :)
Hey guys,

been checking out this forum for a while now (apparently i get a 500 if i do well in my exams this year) because i wanted to just get more info on it and then began to come across things to upgrade to on the car. :)

This thread is probably the main reason i actually joined if i'm honest, but the first question is going to be what most will probably consider typically noob, but ah well .

I showed my brother the picture at the top of the page (as we have decided if i am to get one i am getting Cha Cha Azure) and he said he didn't like the wheels. This made me remember that Romeo Ferraris/OMP put Mak Veleno rims onto the 500 and this led then to me looking at OZ Ultraleggeras (cos they're just the sex :yum:). Unfortunately, with the 4 stud fitment they have an offset of 37 and would like to know if i could still put them on the 500 and if so, would there be any effects? I wanted the OZ's as they are lighter and apparently that leads to better handling :)

Thanks for the help guys (on other topics i've read, not just this one),
Umer

Firstly, great choice in colour (y) :D

They should fit fine, as far as offset is concerned. The Panda offset is the same as the 500 (ET35) and some of the official Fiat Panda accessory alloys have an offset of 37. A couple of mm either way shouldn't be a problem.

Other things you need to consider are wheel size and fitment. The 500 comes from the factory with either 14, 15 or 16" wheels with low profile tyres for the latter. Nuova 500 Shop have put 17s on their 500 with even lower profile tryes and fit fine. Anything bigger than 17 hasn't been tested, in the UK at least, so 17s really should be the maximum size to go for.

Fitment for the 500 is PCD 4x98. Something you will need to make sure before ordering wheels to make sure they fit :) :)

I hope that helps and good luck with the exams (y)

As said above, 17's are really the max, 18's would require rubber bands. With 195/40/17 on the car is a dream, very very happy with the current set up, but as ever will change it in about 1,000m for something different.

The PCD is usual Fiat, I think we have a set of 15" OZ Supaleggera's kicking about, will try them on the 500 if you want, but I think we used wobbly's before anyway with them on other Fiats

Ah very informative, thank you very much.
17s are certainly the maximum i would consider for this car, that's been the case for the long time i've thought about it... Truth be told, i just wanted to get 16s and lower it, but N500Shop one looks brilliant in my opinion, so i'm tempted to get light wheels first, painted black with the edge of the rim painted in a similar blue to the car.

The wheel's details are:
17x7 4x100 37
size/studs/offset.

Thanks so much for your help and for the good luck :) , i just want this car so badly:bang: even if it isn't dynamically perfect (Autocar preferred the drive of the Mazda 2, but after researching more cars, i find myself back in love with the car whose development i've followed for 2 years now. :worship:)

One magazines/hacks opinion. I've drive a lot of different new cars and half the stuff these motoring hacks write is biased, drivel based upon the stereotypes they have formulated and propagated over the years and they continue with in this vein because think this is what the public have come to expect.

The amount of people I know who say things like "Oh an Alfa! If you're gonna buy a car only go for Jap or German"

Or the classic from my own Brother-in-Law when I took him in my Punto 1.3 Mjet on a Christmas Day 3.00am dash to hospital with breathing difficulties. " I don't like FIATs but that car of yours really is a great little car". :bang:

As the Mazda 6 ad says "Go your own way" :D
