Hello everyone, I decided to have a check around my fiat 500 to try spotting any issues well in advance of it's MOT. Just out of curiosity, I steered left right, while car was lifted up, and noticed these top mounts moving. Is it normal?
Video attached for reference.
I have no issues while driving, no knocks, or other noises.

Many thanks

Marco

When cars are jacked up so suspension hanging down the top mount bush is often not held in centre as no weight on it, I have seen this on many different makes of vehicle.
You could try lowering the car down until the tyres are just starting to touch the ground off the jack and see if movement is still as noticeable.
So unless you are experiencing strange knocks or undue tyre wear or extra play in suspension then I suspect not anything to be concerned with.
Many years ago on certain Vauxhalls Mot testers were tempted to fail them until it was explained.;)
