Technical Diesel Egr/maf sensor issue

Hi Newbie here hoping someone can help, I have replaced the egr and cooler and now it will only run if the maf sensor is disconnected, if it is plugged in the van will start but not tick over and dies? Any ideas....many thanks

Little update, fitted the original egr backing van now runs, not sure why the egr would cause this, but van is sorted now
