Ok Posted a little while ago, about the maf that I replaced and didin't fix problem.
Now looking at cleaning the EGR valve. Was speaking to a pal last night who works for the AA, they use wynns EGR 3 cleaner. So thought I would give it a go.
He reckons it does do the job, but you need to spray as close to the inlet manifold as possible, you have to have the car running and someone keeping the revs up to 2000rpm. My question is where do you reckon I should spray it. Any help would be really appreciated

I really cannot see how this stuff will work as it has to go through the combustion stage and i am wondering whats going to be left after its been burnt.
Perhaps its a wonder product or maybe a secret aa tool.

My personal feeling is that for the hour or so it will take to take off the egr and clean and replace onto the car and besides you can check to see its not stuck open or shut which this can of wynns wont. Oh i used gunk to clean mine which worked well and you will need a very long allen key to undo the pipe at the bottom of the egr.

As for a place as near to the manifold im guessing that it would have to go somewere after the intercooler but how you will do it i dont know.

Lets us know if this egr cleaner works but i cant see it myself.

Will do, he gave me a leaflet that the aa supply to their drivers.
Not Sure how it does it but it does say it can also free the valve if it is stuck. I am kinda thinking if it doesn't work I'm gonna have to take it off anyway to clean it. But on the other hand, he said he's used it and it seems to do the trick.
Any pic's anyone's got with suggestion of where to spray it in would be very much appreciated.

Just take the EGR valve off and clean it. All you need is an allen key.

Whatever you do dont spray that stuff in before the MAF sensor.

Decided to take the vavle off in the end, got it off after a little fight with some stubborn hex key bolts. Sure enough seemed to be stuck open, gave it a bloody good clean with the EGR cleaner. Put it back on, plugged the MAF back in (was disconneted as seemed to stop the car from stalling), and seems to be running better than ever.
So mines up for an EGR clean this weekend to.
Thanks to all for your input on this.
