It's also insanely hard to find ANYWHERE that doesn't sell "Halal" only products.
I'm talking mainly fast food places, but a lot of random stuff in supermarkets all has the crazy symbol on it too.
Do you know how sick and disgusting the process of "halal" is? We didn't get a say whether we wanted it to be a necessity to have HALAL on everything. But then again, if we did say anything about it, that would be racist wouldn't it? :|

killing an animal is killing an animal they all have a crap life no matter how its ended one way of killing is no better than any other if they had a crap life anyway

I didn't think so. So why on earth does it worry you how it's killed, so long as the end result is the same...one juicy steak, rare, with chips and gravy?

For example. In the USA there are 3 degree's of murder.
1st degree being the worst and has the death penalty as punishment in most states.

we not in the USA i doubt animals where ben lives are killed same way as uk? if we on about other countries. saying its ok to kill an animal one way but not another just to eat it is madness when there is plenty of other food you could eat that means no animal need be killed anyway
The USA was just an example. Murder in the UK has different levels and punishments too. You want to kill someone, use you car to run them over, you'll spend a lot less time in prison than if you blow their head off.
We're on about the animal food sources here in the UK, a supposedly civilised country that is allowing this barbaric torture of animals.
Killing an animal is NOT killing an animal as you said. Some people turn it into a sick ritual, cutting the animals throat while saying a prayer to their god(halal) and then watch it bleed to death. The animal must be in terrible pain. Its a thousand years out of date and its sick!

The law in the UK used to be that ALL animals were stunned before slaughter. In 1995(I think) the law was changed WITHOUT THE PUBLICS KNOWLEDGE to allow this barbaric ritual sacrifice. The numbers of animals that undergo this horrific practise is astonishing, the law should be changed back. If New Zealand can produce Halal meat without allowing this sick ritual SO CAN WE!
