General ED 704cc 2-cylinder!

I'm sure loads of folk must be familiar with the A5 Automobilia book on the Cinquecento- so this might not be a surprise; but I was amazed to see the design & engineering in the flat-2 longitudinal-mount 704cc engine!

I wonder if we have ever had a forum member (outwith the UK) who owned/owns one..?

Its basically the 126 BIS engine which is a lay flat version of the 126 engine.

I understand from Wikipedia-

The cranks turns the other way round to the 126!!

Fascinating piece of gear- I wonder how well they ran..?
