I've been looking through the Haynes maunal and the Fiat Bravo Ovner Handbook.
One of them (can't find it now to quote it) goes on about driving for about 15mins at different speeds and in particular 2000-4000 rev range.
Then letting it idle for 10mins while occassionaly turning the steering wheel and turning on power using things like the rear windscreen heater.
Is this all really necessary?
Whenever we remap an ECU, we start the car and allow it to idle for 5 minutes before driving or even revving. This is the same as when you are reconnecting the battery as it allows all the positioners to settle and give you a fresh start.
Its either that or Andy just likes using it as an excuse to have a ciggy after doing the job and before we drive the car lol!

Folks, having just bought a Brava, would it be worthwhile resetting the ecu? This self-learning ecu, it learns your driving style and adapts accordingly, right?
Oh dear I've started it all agian.
Tom will tell you better but it resets all the settings and allows the ecu to start again and adapt to the surrounds and ignore the settings you don't need for the British environment.
Close enongh Tom?
