Hi guys, if I disconnect the battery to reset the ECU ( 1997 Brava 1.6 16v), will I then lose the radio, or does it have some sort of "keep-alive" battery? I don't have a code and have got used to sound..
I'm thinking of trying an ECU reset after reading previous posts. I had an injector problem on #1 cylinder. Injector measured 3 ohms, and injector light came on with acceleration. I replaced it yesterday.
The injector light is now off after the injector replacement , but the engine is not firing on that cylinder. Plug is sparking , so ignition is OK. A meter on the fuel-rail electrical connector shows the injector is plugged OK.
Although it seems illogical..., reading previous posts seems to show that sometimes an ECU reset sorts this sort of thing out.
Any advice very much appreciated!
