Hi all,

I've just bought a 54 plate 2.0JTD SWB. Very pleased I am with it as well, bar a few minor issues. However, one slight gripe is that the side door does not seem to fit snugly and allows rain in from the top where it does not sit flush or recessed under the roof sill.

Before I bought it the garage fitted a new bottom hinge as previously the door needed a 'lift' to close it. However, even with the new hinge, it does still not close properly and from the inside daylight can be seen around the edge in places.

It still locks and opens and closes OK so it's not a huge deal, but I'm guessing it should bea bit better than it is. I've tried adjusting the arm on the guide rail at the top, but it's as far pushed in as it will go and doesn't solve the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Oh, and the fan for the blowers only works on max, not 1,2 or 3. Does anyone know the likely cause of that as well.....? Perhaps I should just invest in ear-protectors

Thank you.

for your sliding door, you may be missing a metal pin on the van, we have a minibus and is missing the metal pin at top which the door catch is ment to clip to.

Hi Wallas,

I what sounds like exactly the same problem with my van; a Fiat Ducato LWB Hi-Top (T Reg 2.8L). Did you have any success solving the problem?

"T14086",

you mention the locating holes on the B-pillar. I am not totally sure which part this is. There is a small pin about 10mm diameter protruding about 10mm on the side of the door which makes contact with the door frame. The fixture (on the frame) into which this pin locates is badly damaged. It has a crack it it and it is worn away on one side where the pin has ben impacting. When the door is closed the pin does not fit in the hole as it should do. Is this fixture called the locating hole?

Will replacement of this locating hole solve my problem?

Cheers

Ed
