I've decided to buy a Fiat but aren't yet sure if Panda or Grande Punto but one thing is certain it will be a Dualogic version.
Reading up on this gearbox it appeals to me but I cann't find more about how it works.
I'm interested purely from an engineering point of view and not how good they are, what like to use, problems when in a vehicle etc.
I know they are a manual gearbox with automatic clutch that is ECU controlled.
The gearchange is sequential so are the internals arrange in similar way to a motorbike gearbox ?
Obviously there are numerous position and speed sensors etc but are all the actual operating mechanisms external or are there internal hydraulics as well ?
Anyone got a link to a cut away drawing of the gearbox ?

Thanks.

Paul H

BTW I've got an aftermarket autoclutch for my '68 Land Rover that is hydraulic operated with a second master cylinder and ECU so that aspect isn't anything new to me and assume the Fiat clutch system will be similar principal albeit far more sophisticated.
