Hi!

I have just acquired a twin air dualogic. It has a problem I can’t find mentioned anywhere here. All forward gears work fine. Reverse however does not, it will sometimes go into reverse but with a big clunk (I’m aware they don’t have syncromesh) but other times it’ll just grind and not go in. I had a code for P17737B Hydraulic circuit flow / Pressure - Low fluid level and P176963 Pump relay stuck closed - Circuit/Component protection time out. I checked the fluid level and it was low so have topped up. Got mildly excited as the first shift into reverse was buttery smooth but it was short lived and reverted back to grinding.

Anyone else had similar or have any ideas on next steps?

Thanks in advance

J

Hello,

The most probable cause is the Dualogic system has not been serviced properly. The problem occured and that's why the car was sold.

Unless you want to loose lots of time or lots of money or lots of time and money, return the car back to the seller and get your money back.

Except if you have a garage and want to get specialized in the Dualogic systems ;)

There are several threads on these on the forum.

FYI, there are 3 fluids. And the Dualogic was also named Comfortmatic / Selespeed / F1 across the other FIAT brands / models. It is a highly complicated system which requires precise and regular servicing.

Thanks for the reply. No that didn’t seem to make a difference. I used alphaobd to recalibrate it today and it worked seamlessly for about 15 minutes then reverted back to not finding reverse. So tried again and it came up with clutch stroke insufficient. Eventually managed to get it to recalibrate but it’s still not liking reverse. I wonder if the clutch fork needs replacing?
