Technical DRL light on dashboard?

Hi, recently bought a Punto Evo and before I got the one I have I had a test drive in another and it said DRL on the dashboard near the speedo.
The car I have doesn't have it just wondering if I can enable it or anything just find it helpful know the drl is on.
It's like a warning light if you know what I mean.

Its probably for bulb failure of a DRL? Shouldn't need to know if they're on, if option is yes and engine is running they'll be operation, just like brakelights would be etc.

Ahh yes didnt think of that thanks. Must have had a faulty one on the one I test drove.

only other way a drl messages comes up is if youve gone into the menu and you get the option to turn them off
