got mine Stilo Wagon door handle frozen few weeks ago. Since got no garage and have no interest in freezing my hands while getting close to lock, I had to open drivers door in a retard way. Had to open side/rear doors and then reach for the door lever to open them from inside. this got me pissed this weekend so decided to do a quick job and fix this.
got door panel down, and noticed that door's outside hande does not "grip" the lock mechanism. Thought that a cable poped out. and i was right.
took the window out, got cable back in, got door panel back in in just 5 hours only ( quick job). Cheked if everyting works. It did but only until I closed the doors.
tried to open it from outside - heard a cable poping out again. tried from inside like I used to - doors wont open. I can hear a lock moving, but guess it does not move enough to release the latch.
I should not tell you how I get to my wheel now...
I asked my friend to let me inside his garage this evening, so though you guys might have some ideas how to open my doors now.
Will try to:
* take a door paneldown somehow
* use some thief technique to catch a cable via window hole
* cut damn door panel, reach cable, buy new door panel
So if anyone could save me from wasting time, would be grateful
