Also have in mind that without a hole at the door, the volume of the speaker enclosure will be 2-3 litres and you'll get less than half the bass the speaker could produce...

@Dannybohy: These pods were made by a professional, locally here in Greece and are not mine, it's another member of our club.

@Bloomfieldliam: No known way (at least to me) to make the hole watertight without making it airtight too, and loose the extra enclosure volume (so what's the reason to drill the hole in the first place). Anyway, i wouldn't like to open a hole in the door, even if it rains only 20 days per year here in Greece, so in England, i would even think about it. And definetely would not let a pair of Focals to be exposed to humidity too.

Used to consider door panels but the hole thing made me forget it too. I am currently working on the construction of a 5" mounting conversion box, which will bolt on the existing 4" front speakers. I'll inform asap...
