Door locks

I have a Ducato based Autotrail motorhome. Recently changed the battery cause it had failed. No problems here but took it out for a spin having entered by the habitation door at rear. Topped up with fuel and went to get back in cab to find drivers door locked. Luckily I had not locked habitation door so got in. It seems that all other doors lock/open on central locking but drivers door despite making the clunk will not open from outside. Key will not operate either. I'm not sure this is connected with changing the battery or just a massive coincidence. Have removed door panel but can't really see what's going on. Anyone had this problem and could offer some much needed advice ? Thanks

Hi Colin, is the door key driver side the ignition key as well?

Is it worn to buggery?

I've got the same problem with my 120MJ 2007. The ignition key is as worn as hell and although the drivers side door lock looks in quite good condtion from the outside the internal tumblers have definitely failed.

I can't lock the door at all manually and have been relying solely on the central locking.

I think I may have to bite the bullet and renew both. Luckily, I keep my van under lock and key in a freinds barn which is only 5 minutes drive from where I live.
